Retail Assist Personal

Retail Assist helps its owner review permitted retailer availability signals and open the exact product page for a manual checkout decision.

It never clicks Add to cart, bypasses retailer controls, stores payment data, or submits an order. Availability signals are treated as leads, not guarantees.

How Gmail is used

After the owner explicitly connects Gmail, Retail Assist requests the read-only Gmail permission to examine a small, recent set of unread Target back-in-stock candidates. It validates Target authentication and stock intent, then extracts exact Target product links for watched items.

Retail Assist does not send, modify, mark read, archive, or delete email. Gmail message bodies are processed transiently on the owner's Mac and are not retained or sent to the relay.

Local first

OAuth credentials stay in macOS Keychain. Derived event identifiers, timestamps, exact product links, scan outcomes, and checkout-handoff evidence remain in the owner's local encrypted application data. The optional relay stores only signed availability metadata from approved producers.
